Wearable Art 2/1 - 2/5

Wearable students will turn in altered book assignment of "miniature designs and drawings" on Monday, Feb. 1st. Demonstration of glass etching will be given on Monday, students will create name designs and monograms in altered book due on Thurs. of this week. Demonstrations this week of cuttlebone casting will also be given.

2-D Art 2/1 - 2/5

Students continue to work on glass etching, stained glass frame project. Sketchbook assignments will be due by the end of the week.

3-D Art 2/1 - 2/5

Students will continue to work on Styrofoam sculptures of abstract figures. Sketchbook assignment of art critique will be due by the end of the week.

Art I 2/1 - 2/5

Art I students will continue working in the clay studio on coil technique handbuilding pottery. 2nd rotation of 5 students on the potters' wheels. No sketchbook this week. There will be a pop quiz on clay notes this week!

Continue working on name design glass etching project. Sketchbook assignment due on Thurs.

3-D Art 1/25 - 1/29

Written critique and sketch due on thurs. Wed we will install our next window display in Pittsburg. Begin sketches for styrofoam sculpture.

Art I 1/25 - 1/29

Pinch pots will be bisque fired, possibly pit fired. We will begin coil construction pottery - 5 students will begin on the potters wheel.
sketchbook assignment --5 noses, not cartoon style.

Wearable Art 1/18/10

Wearable Art - Monday, demonstrate felt balls and how to make earring wires.
Students will turn in pendant assignment on Monday. 2 days to make felt ball earrings, then we will exit fibers and return to metal.
Altered book assignment - artist report over felt jewelers.

Monday - students turn in miniature drawings. Also due is monogram/creative name design in sketchbook. This week we will transfer monogram into glass etching.

students will continue to work on window display to be installed in Pittsburg next week.

Art I ----- students will continue working on pinch pot project this week. Monday finish scraping, tues on burnish.
